It is a phrase written on a side of Harry Mc Kenna's beloved gun. When he died by his friend, Arthur, the gun accidentally inherited by his son, Steven. Shortly, i found it in "Mechanic", a brutal action movie which is actually a remake from 1972 Charles Bronson movie with the same name. And i will not tell you about the movie, it just fine.

"Amat Victoria Curam" is a famous Latin phrase means literally “Victory loves the care”, that is “Victory likes careful preparation” or more loosely “Victory favors those who take pains”, since victory falls to those who prepare it carefully.

This phrase shocked me and makes me remember. Nowadays, i begin to plan improperly. I prefer to act impulsively. The worst, i almost forget the feel of having a big dream and struggle with all of my heart to achieve it. I almost loose the passion.

Routine build a new character of me and, in some aspects, it almost completely different from an older me. It's not wrong. It just weird. It feels like a stranger living in your body and slowly consume your soul, change it to a new one.

Honestly, i missed an older me: being caring, passionate and all out.

I know, i can't escaped from my current life so i would never ask myself to be a coward. I will face it bravely and make myself proud. In the other side, i will find my lost soul. Simply, I will enjoy my life... responsibly.

+ beberapa efek pertempuran cukup menghibur walaupun seharusnya bisa dieksploitasi lebih menarik, slow motion ala matrix misalnya. Cukup banyak darah untuk yang terhibur dengan hal-hal seperti itu.

- secara cerita, film ini sangat mainstream. beberapa bagian cerita malah terkesan hambar... oiyah, jangan berharap ending yang lua biasa yaaah, hehe...

ROBIN HOOD

+ plot ceritanya istimewa, keluar dari pakem robin hood sebelumnya yang selalu disisipi adegan memanah apel di atas kepala orang. selain itu, bagian awalnya sangat menarik... penyerbuan ke kastil perancis terasa hidup walaupun masih kurang kolosal...

- ekspektasi saya film ini akan lebih kolosal tapi ternyata, hmmm... keindahan alam justru meniadakan kesan kolosal tersebut. entah cara pengambilan gambarnya atau jumlah orangnya yang harus diubah... moso kerajaan inggis dan perancis cuman segitu ajah orangnya...

great entertainment at garuda airplanes

a few days ago, i flied with garuda indonesia. They board on schedule, as always. but when i enter the cabin, i feel something different. It was a brand new airplane. The luxurious chocolate's brown seat cover is very soft to my eyes and convenient... these sophisticated airplanes are equipped with personal inflight entertainment system on every seat, offering hundred of games, music audio and exclusive movie video on demand (Audio Video on Demand -AVOD).

unfortunately, i forgot to take any picture... i spent my 58 minutes flight from Solo to Jakarta with "Janji Joni" :)

from many sources i found that Garuda Indonesia planned to bring more sophisticated airplanes like this... and they it as QUANTUM LEAP... Go Garuda... Go Indonesia...

The Wolfman

datang dengan ekspektasi tinggi, ternyata joe johnston, sang sutradara, hanya menyajikan gambar-gambar indah daratan Inggris masa lalu dan manusia serigala yang membabi-buta melakukan teror dimana-mana. Plotnya sendiri sebenernya dimulai dengan apik tapi kemudian di pertengahan mulai berlari kesana-kemari... yang anehnya justru sangat mudah ditebak.

Untuk hiburan bersama pasangan, rasanya film ini cocok. Anda akan lupa mengunyah pop corn caramel Anda karena tempo yang disuguhkan seperti alunan musik rock yang sudah berdentam keras semenjak awal. Akting Anthony Hopkins memang bagus dan berhasil diimbangi Benicio Del Toro dan Emily Blunt dengan baik... oiyah, adegan kekerasan di dalamnya sangat tidak direkomendasikan untuk anak-anak... tapi film ini bebas dari adegan seks murahan walopun sebenarnya ada sisi romantisme yang bisa digali dengan lebih baik...
